The Host. Aunty Ky.

Aunty Ky is the founder and host of Being MissUnderstood, a content creation and broadcasting company with a distribution format that began with a focus on podcasting. The name “Aunty Ky” is a play on the host’s first name Kyazia.

Kyazia recently transitioned from her role as the coordinator for a prostate cancer clinical trial, which explored the relationship between patients, their primary care providers, and their abilities to make shared healthcare decisions. Currently, she is attending professional school on an MD/PhD track. In 2020, she received an MPH from Xavier University of Louisiana’s (XULA) Health Equity program and a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from XULA in 2017.

In her spare time, you can find Kyazia involved in one of her many hobbies ranging from dancing, powerlifting, music and audio production, and baking. Kyazia Felder aspires to obtain an MD/PhD and have a dual career as a physician-scientist with a biomedical research focus on building a world that ensures health equity for minority, immigrant, and other historically marginalized groups.
